a happy birthday! to my sister melanie and my friend sky! woohoo! today was a very long day at the Allure Offices and had so much work... which was due to the fact that i went to sleep at 4am-ish and woke up at 8am i only had a 4hour sleep Note to self: sleep! women sleeeep! So last night im waiting for the bus like always, at around the same time. The air was super nice and i just spent a good amount of money on clothes and a garment rack at bed bath and beyond, which by the way was only 20 dollars! yes, i was super excited! i always wanted one but never really got myself to buy it...So yes... where was i? ...Ahh yes, so the night was beautiful and the air was super clear, and by clear, i mean NYC clear...my city homies will understand. I got on the bus, and there was little to no-one, Then the bus made a stop at 74th street like always to pick up so as the bus turns slighty to leave a man, middle 30's or so, blue eyes, short dark brown hair, and a long dark navy blue coat taps on the window...sadly the driver doesnt see him and pulls away. Now outside me is "Oh no! well that sucks..." Inside me is "HAHAHA loser! maybe if he flys down 3 blocks he can catch it! DOUBT IT!" i know super mean haha so what happenes, 2seconds later we are at 77th street and BAM he's there! i was in total shock because it was like magic that he made it 3blocks, the bus was totally fast... i still can't believe it happened.
As he sits across from me, my face is totally in =o mode, but of course i made no emotion to the naked eye. The funny thing is that he started to talk to me and like many guys in NYC who randomly talk to you, it's a red sign for creeep! but for some reason no sign went on and we talked the whole way....

October 19, 2009What do you wear?
my daily routine. It begins with my ipod going off 5feet away from my bed, so it makes me get up to turn it off…not snooze it. As soon as im awake I put on some tunes, (randomly of course) look outside the window to figure out if it’s cold or not, then open my closet. What you wear can affect how you feel that day, believe me… even though the weather sucks I always try my best to make sure I like what I wear when I leave my apartment. what's your routine?

October 7, 2009Faux Ball.the Jimmy Choo collection hit H&M. I have a totally different view then a lot of people that are getting a little obsessed with faux fur vests. The funny thing is that I never put in mind that it was kind of a new trend. Since i dont like anything related to fur, i can't seem to wrap around my head how this is a great thing? Okay maybe i'm going a little rough since it's not REAL fur, but isnt it kinda promoting real fur?... I have to admit tho that it looks pretty on tall models and the H&M faux fur vest looks so warm and cozy, me i look like a furball...not good.

September 19, 2009New York Fashion WeekSo New York Fashion week is over, OFFICIALY. This saddens me because it's always great to randomly walk downtown, bump into models and half naked male models haha. There is also that chance that if you have luck on your side, you can stand at bryant park and see your favorite designer because everyone enters though the same doors.
With all that said, i have picked out my favorite runway shows. i watched about 40 runway shows on fashion tv [a great channel on my cable, they def know me]. I wrote down my favs and searched them on youtube to show you. i watched them all so you wont have to watch the "bad" ones [in my opinion]. This will not included Marc Jacobs, although he is one of my FAV designers this year he failed...bad. I miss the old great Marc shows... Anyways!

Not only did i start my internship at Allure Magazine, but so was the start of Fashion Week and the day that every designer and fashion student/or anyone who knew, was waiting for.
Now i am aware that many of you have no idea what this event meant, so no worries, let me explain it to you. Explain: Fashion Night Out was on September 10th, on this day the main goal was to bring back the economy by shopping and enjoying it. Some might say a way to celebrate Fashion and it's history. Vogue and CFDA (which is fancy for [Council of Fashion Designers of America]) got together to create the day. The event: Everywhere, they tired to do it global. New York, United Kingdom, Greece, Italy, Russia, France Brazil, India, Spain, China, Germany, Japan, and Taiwan Quote: "America’s fashion capital, New York City. Next only to finance, fashion is the second-largest sector of industry in New York City—the headquarters of more than 800 fashion companies employing 175,000 people and generating $10 billion in total wages. At City Hall’s May 20 press conference to announce Fashion’s Night Out, Vera Wang said, "To put it bluntly, if people don’t shop, people lose their jobs." Video:

August 29, 2009Architecturally sculptural clothing.Summer is sadly coming to an end, but this also means that Fall/Winter trends will be showing themselves in every store, for every designer. Fashion week is only a few weeks away and if you know me, i love going to those shows. If i don't get invited, i volunteer! Before i start telling you the trends for fall/winter and back to school, i want to remind you about Fashion Night Out, an event with most of the top designers in New York City! check out the website! Let me know if your planning on going, im volunteering [I'll let you know where soon!] Fall/Winter trends start showing in March all around the world, Designers like Mac Jacobs, Balmain, Louis Vuitton, Balenciaga and Alexander McQueen to name a few started showing the "80's Look" Bold Shoulders , Studding , Sequins, Leather , Fur 40's Look Architecturally sculptural clothing and Parisian Chic. This season will be my favorite of most seasons because it's almost like they came to my closet and made it a trend. Its a season where creative wear will show more, something i love. New York City tends to go for the Black/White Look which isn't bad but wish i can see more color and movement! Get ready to see these pieces at your nearest clothing stores:

April 26, 2009The Rescue in my eyesfriday night...
i meet with all the handy helpers at 6pm and the empire state ferry to talk about some last min. details and to get to know more each-other before the big day. They are honesty and ive seen it before, are like my family. We finished at around 8pm then shawn and me walked all around brooklyn trying to find a 2 train to go home, no cabs were around...bumed me out but the day was amazing.
We found the train...after walking about 4miles haha
THE RESCUE DAY.
I had to be there at around 10am to set up with everyone. We worked so hard and everyone got down and dirty. The weather helped things go alot smoother which was great. Then at around 5pm we all witnessed the greatest sound, the sound of 3000 people walking the brooklyn bridge. We got rescued [most of these photos are mine but some are from my friends, meg,sky,jon,sean and cei cei.]
THE NIGHT WATCH:
So i was on night watch, meaning i couldnt sleep, not that i wasnt allowed to, i just wasnt sleepy. Jon and Sky came to help out which was the best thing ever and what completed the night like a grand prize. We had a blast like good friends should have.

hearing Le Castle Vania
I finally watched watchman which i was sooo happy about. One tuesday chris and i got out of class at 9pm and said why not see the movie right now..after a second of thinking we did haha. yes it was long and my back and his legs were killing us but it was worth everything. In my head the movie was more than amazing, they put each part of the novel, unlike twilight...but thats besides the point. For those who havnt read watchmen tho, please do believe me im never letting the book go and buying the dvd when that time comes. Went out with friends friday night which was amazing and forgot to take more photos haha that always happens tho. Today i have to get all my plans done with and get to my studying..big exam tomorrow...grrs   LILYS FOUR TODAYYY!      This weeks tattoo...i likey this one... someone asked me what animal i would be if i was one and i didnt know what to answer...haha then i said eagel lol! what animal would you be? xo

March 4, 2009hang me up to dry...
so its 1:18am, and im writing a new journal listening to cold war kids...yes i am haha.
This week so far has had its ups and deep downs which my body cant handle. For those of you who saw a post i did about two days ago, know and thanks for the comments =]. Anyways, so my parents are on a buisness trip, again, so i basically have the apartment by myself which at first i was a little scared but i really like it now, i can blast my music and no-one will care yaya. Its still cold out which sucks because spring is almost here but mother nature said " ohh hell no" and gave us 13inches on monday. February 21, 2009saturdays are matchmaker weekend haha
today i woke up tired and really hungry, maybe its because last night i had a little get together at my apt which was epic and alot of "rofls" haha. so sky and i ordered from a online website to bring us food, i wasnt feeling like cooking... hey sometimes we all wake up feeling like the most laziest person ever! and its okayyy haha. I got a chesse sandwhich with bacon and sky a burger with side fries. yummmy =] i ate it like it so fast it was crazy.
  School is getting better, i got an invite to go to a fashion show in two weeks which im siked about. Some of my friends will be walking in it and its the first time ill see them model, haha i hope no-one falls..that wont be good. Ive seen people fall on runways and most of them do a great job getting back up and not falling but then theres those who fall and turn around and walk back...those models sadly wont ever model for the designer.  [this one was at the prada runway 2008]       i love photobooth on my computer haha i need to go watch the tv shows i havnt seen in 3weeks..ouch! what tv shows are you hooked on? i loveee Privileged i mean those guys on that show are sooo hot! haha ps my title for the blog goes to the show milliare match maker that show is toooo funny! haha

January 21, 2009my mind just keeps me up...
so i havnt been sleeping like a normal human for two days, i go to sleep and for three hours i roll around to find the best spot, okay so you know that there is always that perfect spot to fall asleep but minds ran away...i start to think and think and wonder its insane, once i was up for so long i saw the sun coming up and then i knew i needed to sleep asap. People are telling me its stress or something im worrying about...but what?
there is still snow outside, which i dont mind but cant stand when theres a block of frozzen ice that i cant go over it..sucks. Oh ya and its frezzzzing.       So i woke up last night and out of no where bought baking iteams to make cookies! yes it was cold and i almost died on the way but made them and they turned out amazing! umm i prob go make more right now..well after i finish typing this haha.  my fav cookies are chocolate chip cookie...sometimes double stuffed =] these are smores cookies whats your fav treat? xo jillian

See I told you I was going to post more things on my page, im def stress free for two more weeks. I got my classes though which aren’t so bad, although I owe the school money for one of my classes that I haven’t paid for...which totally sucks, but that’s Collage for ya. Speaking of money, which I wish a had a money tree haha wouldn’t that be awsome! Im going out with my friend tomorrow evening/night, which I haven’t seen him for a month and some days, should be fun, i was thinking about going to MoMA and then dinner or a movie. This Tuesday went to get my teeth checked yesterday which wasn't bad they find a cavity, which honestly is my first one I have ever had! But all good cause it was removed. Yaya
  caught lily reading before i did haha  getting ready for a photoshoot!          To my suprise Bree [breesays] put me on the front page! if you havnt noticed which made my week! so i screen shot it to show you before its gone haha and to be honest its like the most coolest thing that happened to me this week, totally would fly to cali and hug everyone at the offices, which i know! one day i will and ill make them domincan food haha...although i have to ask my mom how to cook cause i only can do mac and cheese haha so what food do you love the most? i loveee spaghetti with ragu haha ox jillian

January 4, 2009peace, love, ecstasyalright so, heres the thing guys. I haven't wrote in a really longgg time cause of school, and and i have this crazy new schedule that im trying to catch up on but I'm back ! Schools out, well for a while now, and i've been trying to enjoy my time before febuary comes and well. you know, school, stress, and more stress. I recently i saw Benjamin button, (amazing movie). I'm pretty sure many of you guys have seen it, cause um. two words- Brad Pitt.
I've been reading eclipse as well ! its been taking over my life. i used to be one of those people who wondered why twilight was getting so much hype. i actually told my friend i thought there was crack in the book cause people couldn't stop reading it. anyways, I'm so engraved in the book it's not even funny. I'm completely in love with Bella and Edward although Jacob, my friend, he's gotta go.
don't worry, i won't spoil anything for anyone who hasn't read it to where i am, but sooo read it ! I'm trying to bypass Eclipse so i can get started reading Breaking Dawn. Happy New Year, by the way. Completely forgot to say that. I had so much fun, i went with my friends from school to this place called Cafetasia down in soho on 8th street, and it has all this tai food. They have really good food there and it's not all that expensive. For those who haven't been there before, just imagine a high end cafeteria, minus the crappy food. Everyone had that typical new year glow on their faces, and it was obviously packed like crazyy. After that, we went to see the ball drop in times square, it was extremely packed as usual but so worth it.

November 14, 2008Its never to late so i started to read again, yes i havnt had the time to relax and read a good book with my dog next to me sleeping. so last night i was bored and picked up the book, yes the book my friends have been calling about and telling me how they might die because its too amazing, so i gave in. Twilight ive up to page 135 in four hours! its crazy because im not a fast reader i like to read slow but some odd reason im reading and all i wanna do is see what happens next. I also see the girl as my highschool days which makes me remember what it was like.
 so today emily and chris came with me to see james bond 007 movie and im such a big fan of all the movies its unreal ive seen each of them and to be honest i wasnt happy with it...maybe it was me but if anyone reading this saw the movie tell me what you thought...i dunno it wasnt like the james bond movies i know  so i have been searching for new music to play on my way to school cause it takes me 45mins to get from my apt to school so a good playlist is always a plus. sky one of my closet friends told me about this group Crystal Castles and the song Crimewave, its sooo good i love them  here are photos of the week:  okay okay not this week but the last and gez i wanna go back they are amazing people and gezzzz i was super close to him ;p okay back to photos:        got the new "red she said" lipstick from MAC and i lovs it! so any new movies youve seen yet? time next timers xo

October 29, 2008another meeting at a timeSo im here at the moment waiting for my friend to start on our group project about Darfur. It was amazing to know that now many people know about the subject when its such a huge issue something I take close to heart. Well this is why we picked the issue to present to the class; I believe it was the rights choose to be honest.  On a happier note this week I had the best weekend with the two most fav people I love dearly. On Friday morning my parents went to a business trip out of the country for the weekend because they go back to work Monday. So I thought since no one besides my little sister and of course lily, was going to be at home. Chris came by and we had a little relaxing party reading each other magazine quizzes and talking about new fashion trends for hours! He lifted at 1am and then I passed out.  that wasnt the one we used but you get it haha. then we planned for hours to go to the new chanel exibit called chanel mobile art; in central park, its sooo beautiful if your in town def go..we are going again saturday haha.  more photos are coming. promise =] so then sky came on saturday and we had a blassttt! like we had a party in my apt. while it was raining haha and took some photos with her nikon cam which my cam broke and im saving now to afford a new one.        yes IM VOTINGGG i cant wait really, its been to long of all this mess. anyways running to get to my meeting. <3 xo
